Area Business Manager

role overview

Each Club General Manager has four direct reports; namely in membership sales, club operational, fitness management and group exercise. They are responsible for a target based monthly performance for the entire profit and loss account of each Club.

  • Key Responsibilities
    1. Lead & manage the overall Club business and team to deliver specific KPIs & budgets

    2. Take overall responsibility for attracting, recruiting, developing, retaining and engaging the right people at club level to deliver business results

    3. Club budget and company’s objectives and KPIs

    4. Manage the day to day operations of the Club ensuring the Club delivers operating excellence

    5. Ensure the delivery of an excellent member service

    6. Develop the business actively by building strong relationships with members and build new lead generation plan and identify new business opportunities

    7. Provide strong leadership which role models company values, demonstrates cultural awareness and maintains high personal visibility within the Club
  • Requirements
    1. 5+ years fitness & health/service/retail experience ideally with previous experience of leading and managing a team

    2. Good leadership skills with successful track record of developing people and spotting talent

    3. Excellent knowledge of industry and operational challenges

    4. Able to deliver real improvement – able to get things done, strong influencing skills

    5. Good communication skills with all levels of the business

    6. Ability to communicate both verbally and writing in English as well as in Bahasa

    7. Strong desire and ability to motivate and inspire people and teams
