Fitness First and Celebrity Fitness Building Internal Talent Pool through Future Leader Program 

To anticipate the agile world, companies must ready to face tight business competition, where companies must prepare the best talent to support the company's business. So that is why the company has committed to promoting from within, giving internal talented employees a stronger pathway to develop their potential and pursue a career to the highest level in the company.

Future Leader Program is a unique program that designed to ready participants for the challenges of senior leadership roles and to be a stepping stone to General Management or wider support function opportunities within the Indonesia business. The program combines different types of learning and development methods, structured and intensive program tailored to provide functional skills, management and leadership skills via on the job training, buddying, attachment to department, workshop, classroom training, case study and mentorship.



The program was open for all employee from all function to apply. Applicants can be internal talent who is interested in growing their career, and is ready to take on a more complex role. Those who have at least 1 year team management experience with proven well performance consistently. 

Company has successfully launched the first batch of Future Leader Program on March 2019 as a first career program for dual brand Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First after the merger. There was eleven participants that has been selected trough panel interview by management. The selected trainees came from 6 Fitness Managers, 4 Operations Managers and 1 Group Fitness Manager from Fitness First and Celebrity Fitness.

The program took 9 months, from March up to October 2019. At the end of the program, each trainee should follow the Final Presentation as a final assessment. Opportunities to pursue a career are very open for program's graduates. It was proven that 2 people had been promoted as full status GMs, and 1 person as GM trainees. One person is promoted as Area Fitness Manager and one person as Are Group Fitness Manager. While other graduates have been put into the talent pool, which will be promoted if there are needs that are in accordance with their competencies.

 

 

Currently the company has opened an application for Future Leader Program Batch-2 which is planned to begin in January 2020. This program will be continued to support the company goals in building company culture and enhance the employee engagement.
