Jakarta, Tuesday 21 May 2019 - As a part of its commitment to give back to the community and in celebrating the month of Ramadhan, employees from Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First Indonesia visited Rumah Piatu Muslimin Orphanage in Senen, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 21 May 2019 to donate  food supplies, non-perishable items as well as cash contributions.

 

“In the holy month of Ramadan we give thanks for the blessings we have received by sharing with others, and this year, we have chosen to support Rumah Piatu Muslimin. Meeting the children here today and learning about their stories is a heartening experience; they remind me that despite the curveballs life throws us, it is important to keep our spirits up,” shared Feni Soemitra, Head of Marketing of Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First.

 

Apart from giving donations and performing prayers, as well as breaking fast together, the Celebrity Fitness and Fitness First teams also held a group workout session with the children, and imparted some knowledge about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.

 

Soemitra shared, “We believe that being in good health is the foundation of everything we do in life. We hope that through the opportunity we’ve been given today to share some fitness knowledge with the children, they will be encouraged to adopt good habits early on in life, so that they may grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.”
